Difference Type Rating

The Difference Type rating course extends the privileges of a pilot to another aircraft type within the same family (Ecureuil, Dauphin, Super Puma), in accordance with PART FCL requirements.

PREQUESITES

APPLICANTS MUST

  • Hold an up-to-date type rating on the variant
  • Hold a valid medical certificate


  • Note: Additional prerequisites could be required according to aircraft type

  • Common systems reviews
  • Aircraft specific systems descriptions
  • Performances
  • Flight planning and monitoring
  • Normal and emergency procedures
  • PRACTICAL INSTRUCTION: Simulator AND/OR Flight Instruction

  • Pre-flight preparation checks
  • Take-off (Various profiles)
  • Flight manoeuvres and procedures
  • Landings (various profiles)
  • Instrument flight procedures
  • Use of optional equipment
  • Normal and emergency procedures

  • CERTIFICATE

    After successful course completion, the trainee will be awarded a certificate of approved training for the type rating.
